Guided by Putu himself, you’ll walk through tropical plantations and the rice fields of his relatives, exploring the area where he grew up. Along the way, Putu will share his deep knowledge of the local environment, traditions, and the daily life of his community.

The tour starts at 9 am by default, with optional afternoon session at 2 pm
About Mayong Cultural Walk
The Mayong Cultural Walk is a special guided experience and cannot be done on your own. If you come without booking in advance, you will not find the starting point, This is a private cultural excursion that includes visits to a local family home and hidden parts of the village, accessible only with a guide.
Putu, your local guide, will lead you through local farmer plantation, the rice fields and village paths, sharing stories about nature, daily life, and Balinese traditions. The walk ends with a delicious home made lunch.
The guided walk lasts about 2.5 hours, covering about 4 km easy path suitable for both experienced and inexperienced hikers in good health, as well as families with children. Including lunch, the entire experience takes approximately 4 hours.
Along the way walk you will learn about local culture, traditions, plantations, herbs and rice cultivation with plenty of opportunities to take photos of the beautiful scenery.
The experience concludes with a visit to Putu Artana’s home where you can enjoy a delicious lunch featuring authentic Balinese home-cooked dishes.

Delicious Lunch at Putu Artana’s Home – A special experience after exploring the Countryside and stunning ricefields, step into the Putu Artana’s home, Enjoy delicious home – cooked Balinese dishes and fresh ingredients. This unique experience offers not only authentic flavors but also a glimps into Balinese traditions making your journey truly unforgettable. We try to use the local produce from our village such as vegetable, rice, palm sugar spice and herbs.
During your experience with Mayong Cultural Walk, we serve a delicious traditional lunch. The main dish is based on chicken, but we also happily accommodate vegetarian preferences or any food allergies. Just let us know in advance so we can prepare the right meal for you.
Our lunch is not served in individual portions. Instead, we prepare a variety of freshly cooked dishes and serve them family-style on the table. You are welcome to enjoy as much as you like.

The tour was beautiful and amazing. Putu has lots of great knowledge ofthe area and is great at answering any questions you may have. Putu and his wife are really nice people.we had 2 hours walk, Putu told us many interesting things about fruits, trees, bakinese culture, he was wonderful and he knew everything we asked. Nice walk super enthusiastic putu. We were together with a french family and had great fun.
